——“I ran.”“I ran away.”
“I ran away from them.”
He trips, but gets up and continues to run.
“This looks like the place where I died.”, He stops running.
“I’ve died two times now... No matter how I look at it, those weren’t dreams... I could feel all the pain... I know this isn’t a dream either, everything looks so realistic.. If I die again... Could I be able to change this situation? All I can do is just try.. But what if it doesn’t work...”
Justice looks up at the blue sky, not knowing what to do.
He lowers his head, “The Cliff...”, he walks up to the edge and looks down, he sees very sharp looking rocks all the way at the bottom. Normally, this would’ve made Justice scared, but with what was happening, it had seemed that he had matured a lot.
“If I close my eyes and take one step, it’ll all be over.”
“What will happen to me if I die again?”
His legs start shaking, as he struggles to take one last step. He falls backward “It’s just one more step...”,
He starts crying “I can’t even do something so simple.”
Eventually, Justice cries himself to sleep.
“I finally found you.”
He opens his eyes and finds a small girl, with blue eyes that have a butterfly pattern at the center, and long blond drill hair, that was swaying in the wind.
[Justice: Why..]
[Beatrice: What, I suppose?]
[Justice: Why did you come for me? I...]
[Beatrice: The contract I entered into was to protect you.]
[Justice: I thought you were only supposed to be my bodyguard until this morning.]
[Beatrice: You must be mistaken, I suppose. I don’t remember discussing a time limit.]
[Beatrice: Clinging to hope only serves your own convenience, I suppose. What was lost can’t be reclaimed. You’ll have no more chances to explain yourself to the older sister. You threw that away. No matter which is lost, those sisters won’t ever be complete again, I suppose.]
[Justice: But I cared about those two, and I wanted to protect them!]
[Beatrice: What do you know about those two, I suppose? No matter which is lost, they won’t be restored to what they were. They can’t be.]
[Justice: So in the end, I was just making a selfish, disgraceful, fuss, not knowing anything?]
Beatrice smirks,
[Beatrice: What happened, I suppose? You seem a little more mature and are using words I didn’t know were in your dictionary.]
She offers him her hand,
[Beatrice: At the least, you need to die where I can’t see you, or I’ll have bad dreams, I suppose. So I’ll help you escape this domain.]
She helps him up.
[Beatrice: You were too slow.]
A Maid surrounded by wind emerges out of the trees. “I finally found you.”
[Ram: I won’t let you get away. I don’t care what kind of punishment I get, but I at least will avenge Rem.]
Beatrice stands in front of Justice. Looking like an object which can’t be moved——She was determined on protecting Justice.
[Ram: Lady Beatrice, please step aside. If you are to be my opponent, I cannot go easy on you.]
[Beatrice: Going easy on me; are you trying to be funny?]
[Ram: Are you confident of being able to defend Mr. Justice from me, so far away from the Forbidden Library.]

Justice puts his hand on Beatrice’s shoulder and walks closer to Ram.
[Ram: You have guts. You finally accept your fate?]
[Justice: I wouldn’t call it that. If anything, I’d say I’ve made up my mind. Sorry... I’ve caused a lot of grief for you guys by being such a loser.]
[Ram: You really do know something about Rem?!]
[Justice: Yeah, and something about you too.]
[Ram: Tell me right now!]
Justice breathes in very slowly.
[Justice: I KNOW THAT I LOVE YOU GUYS!]
He turns around and starts running to jump off the cliff. [Beatrice: Wait!]
But it had been too late to say that, as Justice had already jumped, he falls, and falls, and keeps on falling until he hits the sharp rocks.
In front of the corpse’s shattered skull, Beatrice was kneeling.
Having fallen from such heights, no human flesh could survive the impact without shattering. His red hair, along with the contents of his scalp, was splattered over the ground, blooming into a crimson flower of death.
The sensation of his consciousness being switched wasn’t surprising anymore.
He had expected this the moment his awareness was forcibly cut.
[Ram: Spewing nonsense until the very end—— when nothing… can……]
Fallen to his death, Justice’s body was sprawled out over the ground. Standing beside him, spitting this out, was Ram.
Her usually impeccable grooming had been flustered, and visible rips and tears riddled the ends of her maid’s uniform. On her face, which she had always consciously kept expressionless, was some unbearably complex and enraged emotion.
Rather than regret for Justice’s death―― it was closer to fury at this outcome.
Ram violently scratched her head and turned around.
[Ram: So, was this all according to your designs, Lady Beatrice? You stood in my path just so he could——]
[Beatrice: ――――]
Just as she was setting off her accusation, Ram’s face stiffened as she stopped mid-sentence.
For reflected in her light-pink irises, was Beatrice, kneeling beside Justice’s corpse. Unworried about dirtying her dress, the girl just sat there on the ground―― while Ram’s gaze wavered, seeing her like this.
[Ram: Lady Beatrice…]
[Beatrice: ――why?]
She softly murmured.
Paying no mind to Ram’s existence, Beatrice single-mindedly kept her eyes on the dead Justice.
Tears were trailing from the corners of her blue eyes.
――Beatrice was crying.
At Justice’s death.
Once again, Justice wakes up in his bed. But unlike the last few times, he sort of got a hold of what was going on.
[Justice: So that’s it. Every time I “die”, I somehow reset time and go back to the last point I “saved” at. The only thing I need to know is how to “save.” If I can figure that out, everything is easy for me.”]
Justice walks out of his room, and unlike the last two times, it wasn’t Rem who was cleaning his parents’ room. It had been Ram. After the whole situation with her, Justice felt a little embarrassed to be in the same room with her.
[Justice: Uh... Hey, Ram, do you know where Rem is? I need to talk to her about something.]
[Ram: She’s in the Backyard, trimming the hedges.]
[Justice: Oh, thanks.]
[Ram: What is wrong Mr. Justice? You look a little flustered.]
[Justice: Noottthhhinnnggg. Maybe it’s probably because I just woke up.]
He scratches the back of his head nervously.
[Ram: Oh, I see.]
Justice heads to the backyard and finds a bunch of amazing topiaries. Surely, this was the work of Rem. Ever since Rem started living in the Wald Manor, she had always been making the most beautiful topiaries.
[Rem: Oh, careful Mr. Justice. I just spread manure in the flower beds.]
[Justice: Y–Yeah, I will. But Rem, I was wondering if I could help you with your duties today.]
[Rem: Is there any reason as to why you wish to work alongside me?]
[Justice: N–No, just wanted to help.]
[Rem: Hmm, okay. Our work for today will be: Caring for the front yard and garden, preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, polishing the silver, head to the village, and the mansion’s monthly soot cleaning.]
Justice looked a bit shocked, as to how Rem and Ram can do this much work, every single day of their life.
Justice lays down on his bed.
“I’m exhausted!”
He hears knocks on his door, followed by a voice saying “This is Rem. We still have one more job to do Mr. Justice. Or do you want to finish your work here?”
[Justice: Ah, hold on.]
He opens the door, “What’s next, Rem?”
[Rem: We need to head to a close village, we are currently low on seasonings.]
Once they arrive at the village. They don’t see anyone. Just structures and shops that are empty.
[Justice: Um, Rem? Is the Village always like this?]
Justice had never ventured out of the Mansion’s territory, other than when he tried to escape Ram or to go to School. Which he did only with Teleportation Magic.
[Rem: No. The village is always filled with inhabitants, but not today for some reason...]
[Justice: Maybe they went over to a neighboring village to celebrate something?]
[Rem: If that had been the case, they would not have left their doors unlocked, or their shops unguarded... However, I can sense one life-form approaching us. It does not seem to be human.]
*Rem utilizes Water Magic, which allows her to use clairvoyance, via tracking someone’s blood.
[Rem: Mr. Justice... I urge you to stay back. The being approaching us appears to be aggressive.]
A Man appears. It appeared that the outside of his body has a grey tinge to it, and has the appearance of exposed muscle. He sports pointed ears and a mouth full of fangs. He also has four arms, a tail of sorts, and his legs are reminiscent of a dinosaur.
He starts growing six tendrils with blades at the end, from his back. Unlike Rem, or that man from before. The man then lunges two of his tendrils at them.
[Rem: Huma!], Rem creates a shining water barrier, which blocked both of the tendrils. She swings her flail at the man. He deflects it by with ease.
Both Rem and the man start flailing their weapons at each other. The man lunges one of his tendrils at Justice, which causes Rem to look away in fear that the tendril was going to hit him. But instead, the tendril pierces Rem from the back.
[Justice: Rem!], The man returns all of his tendrils to him and starts walking towards Justice.
[Man:————]
The man finds himself with a hole in his torso, he falls down. Standing behind his body was a blue-haired maid, with a small white horn sticking out of her hair.
